GERMAN MEP GANTZER ''SUPRISED''..............?????????

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Gasman probably doesn't know what sarcasm is ;)

Of course he knew what happened to Cyprus. He is just after votes from the Turkish minority in Germany and he was telling to the Turks what they wanted to hear (and probably Bayrak exaggerated his position even more)

The fact remains that RoC is the only state in Cyprus and as such it can determine which are the legal ports and airports on the island.

Do you think that every small community has the right to build and use ports and airports without the approval of the state? Of course not. Only the state has such right. Or maybe the Turkish minority in Germany can build and use ports and airports wherever they feel like without the approval of the German state?

now I'm getting dizzy

lol!

And, now ... I am going for a swim!

I would be more convinced of what was said if it was shown as a televised recording (made by an unbiased party of course - if such things exist these days) so that the actual words could be heard and taken in the light of what was said to prompt them, and you could hear any expression or emphasis placed on them.

I mean, for example, a reporter could say to an MEP 'you seemed surprised .....' and that MEP start his response with 'Yes, but I was aware ....' or WADDEVER! And then it be reported as:

GERMAN MEP DID NOT KNOW TURKISH CYPRIOTS WERE ISOLATED!!!!!

Never forgetting the customary multiple exclamation marks! (Which I doubt were actually included in any reporting of what was said, whether it was a true representation or not) but are included here, as is so often the case, as an attention seeking ploy to make what is said seem more important than it actually is.

Diplomats (and politicians of all sorts) - just another word for two faced liars sometimes!

Gawd what am I wittering on about. More kawfee required methinks.

An embargo is a government order prohibiting commerce or exchange with a specified country, but the “TRNC” is NOT a country but an occupied territory of Cyprus so there is no embargo but a closure of occupied ports.

So in what context are the eu discussing the direct trade with TRNC? and use all 3 cels in your brain for this one and if smke begins to come out of your ears make sure somebody is nearby to turn your off knob off.

In the context of utter stupidity which is pretty much where you’re coming from as no such thing as “direct trade” or “direct flights” with a non-entity can ever legally exist.
