Reading the original post, it occurred to me that it would be pretty difficult to actually get the message that you ARE NOT INTERESTED across to a bloke who believed all that!

Short of telling them to get lost (and I suppose even that could be explained away as them really wanting you to move closer lol!)

You're right. This is really bad advice. If people like you, they'll make an attempt to see you, even if only for quick chit-chat.
