That looks awful Cap.

I hope Limassol doesn't go overboard with these types of constructions on the coast.

If they do, then they should look at their architecture a bit more and build aesthetically nice buildings like you get in Singapore.

That in a few years will date and be a smudge on the skyline.

Height should never be the focus here Cap. Much better to be lower and focus on quality.

Paphiti, Developers, architects couldn't give a fuck about looks, they are here to make a quick buck on the back of the passport deal and scarper. The place is turning to shit and some think it is wonderful. Go ask the local residents that have ended up in the shadows of those monstrosities and see the value of the property plunge. Go ask the locals about the traffic chaos caused where deveoper's are not forced to improve the infrastructures but just tuck their millions in offshore banks whilst the government claims a 'success' story.
We have no real strategy for these developments, they just issue permits to whoever has the thickest envelop, period. I am waiting for the next 6.0+ earthquake and see what happens to them.

I have never been against " progress" however creating such absolute monstrosities for the sole purpose of making money isn't what I would call progress but greed. Prices at one of these monstrocities start from 1.25 million, clearly aimed at the super rich. The locals I talk to all hate what is going on. Let us hope that the authorities clamp down on further such projects which do not add to the charachter of Limassol. I have an appartment just behind one of these monstrous buildings , currently I have a sea view, I dont live there, but I do on occasions use it. When these buildings are up there will be no more seaview.
What I have notice in my relatively short time in Cyprus is that money RULES !!

Property prices in limassol are being advertised at ridiculously expensive prices.

A one bed apartment in one of those high rises can cost upwards of a million euro. The advertised list price.

Is it reasonable to ask or pay 2,000 to 3,000 and plus per square meter?
