Too big for a scanner and best light conditions etc. Had to lay them on the floor. It gives the pics a bit of...a bit of...erm.....I am lost for words here.

Do you have any information on where these photos are from, Denizaksulu?

Somehow the name of the woman (from the jpg file name) caught my attention and i figured the woman must be Vivi Gjerstad, wife of Einar Gjerstad a Swedish archaeologist who died in 1988 (born 1897). You can read more about him here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Einar_Gjerstad

This article also mentioned that he hade a street named after him in Larnaka, which i managed to track on my GPS. It's called Odos Einar Gierstad and stretcehes between Odos Archiepiskopou Makariou III and Odos Kimonos.

Now, that was a little bit of IT-archaeology! :)

EDIT: Afer reading more of the posts here, I understood that these B/W photographs belongs to you, right?

Anyway, the one who digitalized them must have knowledge of the archaeologist and his wife?!
