Oh c'mon Bir!

You even threatened other forumers that Turkey will bring 1,000,000 settlers into Cyprus and annihilate the GCs if we don't agree with your thesis for a BBF or Confederacy.

That was no threat, just reality as we speak...

There we have it Tim!

Bir in all his glory.

So don't blame anyone else for his apparent racism against his "compatriots" and don't blame Piratis or anyone else for calling him an "Ottoman Remnant" that has collaborated with the enemy to destroy Cyprus so that he can gain unmatched democratic rights at the expense of his "compatriots".

It seems, that according to Bir, might is right!

I fail to see what you see in, 'That was no threat, just reality as we speak'.

Was it the wink at the end? We all know what the reality is in the north. Bir just pointed that out.........So what?

Which part of saying "if you don't agree to X, then Turkey is going to carry out Y" is not a threat?

Its a threat by Turkey that is being defended day in and day out by TC's on this forum.

Everyone agrees that X is a racist plan and everyone agrees that Y will destroy firstly the TC's and then endanger the GC's.....yet here we all are arguing about whether an idiotic phrase such as "ottoman remnants" was put in inverted coma's or not.

This is not a threat from Bir, but from Turkey. Why then are so many of you willing to defend this country?

If I say to you 'do not drink too much' that is a cautious warning not a threat. Bir was not threatening anyone, just pointing out the obvious. I for one do not defend Turkeys presence on Cyprus, but with attitudes of some people make me sometimes wonder.

It just so happens it is not one of our activities but it seems to be the favourite in the southern lands.

Thgaole mavre ise delya gonjolozis.
I was under the impression it was the favourate activity in the southern lands below latitude 35 and all that what?

So how long is it going to take before the “revealing” post is made that proves what a “very dangerous individual” Piratis is, because all I can see is Y-Fronts making a fool of himself as per usual…

mr. b's million Turks and GR's war are both right, since we favor the identity of our adversaries these are naturaloutcomes; whatever the past, there is a better world to choose. quite frankly, i think it will come to war, great guerrila warfare, spiced by the leanings of those who have gone beyond to the terrorism of today. it will not be a proxy war as in the past, on this island...

a million Turks, like sheep will be slaughtered for a feast that "Greeks" and "Turks" will revel in.

By their very nature everyone is... and particularly those who deny it.

This is a valid argument.

I've strongly agreed with your every post here Tim, except this one.

This is not a valid argument, it is a fallacy. It is either a tautology or it is a distributive fallacy.

That someone is a racist is an empirical or historical matter (do they display racist behaviour or not ?) it is not a formal logical matter. The issue of denial is irrelevant, either way, to whether one expresses racist behaviour. In fact Get Real's issue of denial is manifestly illogical.

For example : Halil is the finest English poet in the world. Halil denies this accolade. According to Get Real's logic Halil's denial would be nothing more than a confirmation that he is indeed the finest English poet. A very silly argument.

I was trying to be a little concessive here in what was threatening to become a very explosive thread, but let me try to elaborate. If we go beyond racism per se and consider the wider concept of what in the literature of sociology is described as 'the other', I really wonder if there exists any person or social group for whom some other group is not branded as being 'the other'. For example, for people who consider themselves to be committed anti-racists and anti-fascists, it is precisely those whom they label to be 'racists' and 'fascists' that serve as 'the other' for them. This is a dilema that I was aware of in my student days in the 1970's when I was involved the fight against the National Front, when we found ourselves hating those who preached hate all in the name of fighting hate. I think GR is making an empirical observation rather than a logical argument, and I know where he is coming from.

It is funny how some losers who couldn't argue with me in the original thread started another thread to spread lies about me. These people hate me because I want the freedom of my island, human rights and democracy. When you are hated by such kind of scum you know that you are doing something right.

I do not hate anybody because of his race. If I hate somebody I hate him because of his views and/or actions.

If I was a racist and I hated all Turks and TCs then I should also hate Kikapu, who is a TC. But I don't. I love Kikapu and all the decent people who support the freedom of Cyprus and human and democratic rights for all Cypriots without racist discriminations.

The racists are those who are using excuses from half a century ago, trying to excuse human and democratic rights violations against 100s of thousands of innocent people today. The racists are those who want an Apartheid kind of solution that segregates Cypriots based on their ethnicity and gives different rights to people based on the religion and language they speak. The racists are those who still have the mentality of the Ottoman era, and want to impose on Cyprus in the 21st century the racist divisions that were imposed on us back then.
