Turkey: Stop hiding behind the Turkish Cypriots!

Why don't the TCs object to being used by Turkey in this way?

Kyprianou calls onTurkey to undertake responsibilities

FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE 10.MAY.10

The Minister of Foreign Affairs Markos Kyprianou has called on Turkey to finally undertake its responsibilities with regard to the Cyprus issue and “stop hiding behind the Turkish Cypriots”. Asked to say whether the Cyprus talks, which are set to resume on May 26th, will start from the point they stopped before the so-called elections in the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus, Kyprianou said that the answer to that will be given at the negotiating table.

“In a couple of weeks talks will resume and there, at the negotiating table, the moment of truth will be revealed”, he stressed. At the negotiating table, he said, it will be clarified whether the change in the Turkish Cypriot leadership has brought a change in its positions at the Cyprus talks. “Turkey must finally undertake its responsibilities and express its position on the prospect, the shape and the aim of the solution of the Cyprus problem and it must stop hiding behind the Turkish Cypriots”, he stressed.

Referring to his meeting with the Ambassadors of the Republic of Cyprus in EU capitals, he said that they will exchange views on various current issues, such as the resumption of the Cyprus talks and coordination on the EU regulation on direct trade between Cyprus’ northern Turkish occupied areas and EU member states, which the government is opposing.

but why? the Turkish Cypriots enjoy it, otherwise they would have voted differently ... they would have voted for someone who would have perhaps unified the country not keep them separated and paying the price for being partitionists.

TCs have spoken instead of running around like a headless chicken, listen, you may learn a few things.

I doubt I can learn from the TC's lol ....... and what exactly have you spoken? that you want partition, that you have no chance of ever getting? The simple fact that the UN has not moved to recognise the occupied territory of Cyprus other than territory not in control of the only recognised government of the RoC is an indication that you live in wish land.

This problem is not about the desires of two different cultures or two different ethnicities. It's about two different ideologies. Turkey wants to expand into foreign territory, and the RoC wants to hold on to its rightful sovereignty. The TCs are just the tools Turkey has used to make their illegal, immoral ideology possible. The TCs are Turkey's smokescreen for Expansionism! How willingly they wish to be accomplices is a measure of their treachery.
