Turkey: Stop hiding behind the Turkish Cypriots!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

It gets better and better here!

No the "real reason" was the "protection of the TCs" ... just like Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia to protect the German minority

turkey forfeited the right of cyprus guarantee in a big way...you can argue the coupists were going to turn on the tcs, but we will never know this...but what we do know
1...she ethnically cleansed gc
2...she imported setters on the island where today they hold the ballot paper...

if it wasn't expansionism then turkey shouldn't have
1...imported settelrs 3:1
2...let cypriots negotiate themselces

You really have any doubts about what Sampson had planed for the TCs? Perhaps you can explain to the forum the aims of the coup then please.

I bet the first aim was to have terkish coffee with our dengtash on the terrace and discuss the pros and cons of enosis for the TCs.

A - 1. We know: Greek Cypriots signed a transfer of population agreement willingly, they decided to leave the north.
A - 2. Without a binding solution each side has conducted policies that they deemed appropriate.

B - 1. Your numbers are wrong, no one was imported, they felt they could make a better life for themselves in the TRNC
B - 2. If you let Cypriots negotiate without any input from Turkey then the GC desire of subjecting complete isolation on TCs would likely create the necessary ingredient to truly force TCs to accept all terms demanded by GCs. At least with Turkey's support economically and culturally - even the phones and mail goes via Turkey given GCs objections - there is more likely to be a chance that a solution will be one that will omit the problems to be faced by subjugating TCs to minority status and all that entails.

yes and here comes the mathematician...with the minority converting the majority theory...

atleast 30% voted for a perceived pro solution talat and the tc hardasses along with the settlers voted for a partionist...i hear alarm bells...

it sounds to me the minority in this election should take up arms against the majority for gifting their country to anoher country...
