A - 1. We know: Greek Cypriots signed a transfer of population agreement willingly, they decided to leave the north.
A - 2. Without a binding solution each side has conducted policies that they deemed appropriate.
B - 1. Your numbers are wrong, no one was imported, they felt they could make a better life for themselves in the TRNC
B - 2. If you let Cypriots negotiate without any input from Turkey then the GC desire of subjecting complete isolation on TCs would likely create the necessary ingredient to truly force TCs to accept all terms demanded by GCs. At least with Turkey's support economically and culturally - even the phones and mail goes via Turkey given GCs objections - there is more likely to be a chance that a solution will be one that will omit the problems to be faced by subjugating TCs to minority status and all that entails.
