Turkey: Stop hiding behind the Turkish Cypriots!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

There is always a price to pay for freedom and its not cheap.

Would anybody take me seriously if I said I wanted to challenge the Hayemaker for the world heavyweight championship? Can we really take GR seriously here?

In places of severe stagnation, political turmoil and social unrest does miracles MR-from-NG, and Cyprus needs a good shakeup. Besides, what’s Turkey going to do? Murder 800,000 Cypriots and get away with it in the 21st century? I don’t think so…

So you believe in gifting the whole of Cyprus to Turkey. After a military solution where will you live, Greece?

That’s based on your assumption that you have analyzed all likely military and political outcomes and repercussions of a military confrontation and have thus concluded a crystal clear defeat for the CNG and Turkey having complete reign over Cyprus!

You shrewd Charlie!

I'll take the "Charlie" as a gratuitous puerile insult but never mind. How anyone with half a brain would "analyze" a defeat for Turkey, a country with a modern airforce and a huge army, is beyond me. Turkey. Do you honestly think that Turkey would ever suffer the humiliation of a defeat by the ROC, they would keep hacking away at the island regardless of cost.

But it won't be just RoC vs Turkey. It will be RoC-EU vs Turkey.

Look how much the EU managed to cobble together to "save" Greece et al.

Try asking the Germans and the French about going to war before you volunteer them. You may be horrified at their answer.

Not even if you blow up the German and French embassies while Turkish jets are conducting sorties?

You see it’s not a matter of who has more tanks or who has more planes, but who is smarter than the other…

But France and Cyprus have already signed an agreement on defense cooperation, in Paris, despite Turkey's cries

And the joint manoeuvres have been going on since then! :D

GR, even the Turkish bombs are smarter than you. Still, I suppose we could employ a little Byzantine cunning and paint the ROC F16s with Turkish insignia and say "the Turks dunnit"!

A few “Turkish” missile strays making their way into SBA barracks kiling a few dozen British troops wouldn’t go down very well either…

Jerry, I’ll be honest with you… I’m sure you’re a very nice guy but your shrewdness is akin to that of a quadriplegic mouse.

Jerry, I just want to tell you that if the cease fire was violated and hostilities between the RoC's CNG and the TA recommenced, then a comprehensive Turkish victory is by no means a foregone conclusion and a comprehensive defeat of the TA is also very unlikely, assuming there are no outside influences!

Kyprianou is a calculating jackass like pretty much most of the GC government as their objective by these regular whinning is a ploy to keep Turkey placing pressure on Turkey to relinquish its protection of TCs.
There is a negotiating method in place that is not successful due to the TCs and GCs not agreeing to the desires of either side.
It is the "squeaky wheel gets the oil" tactic. Saves having to come up with non-populist policies that can see this Cyprus Problem resolved once and for all.
About as useful as the jackass that posted it - sorry Kyprianou to paint you the same colour as Oracle, but if the cap fits your jackass head wear it.
