Their is also a lot of talk about turkey and russia removing visa requirements for each other as well as a pipeline being built to replace the bosphorous straits as a petrol transit given the large volume going through everyday with tankers. Sounds good!

Turkey's Ambassador in Moscow Halil Akinci said that twelve agreements would be signed during Russian President Dimitriy Medvedev's scheduled visit to Turkey on May 11 and 12.

In an interview with the A.A., Akinci said that all preparatory works prior to the Russian president's visit next week were evaluated at Turkey-Russia Joint Economic Commission meeting in Ankara co-chaired by Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Russian Deputy Premier Igor Sechin.

"President Abdullah Gul and President Medvedev will hold two tete-a-tete meetings. Then, President Medvedev and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will announce that a high-level consultative board was established between the two countries. The board will convene once in every year," he said.

Akinci said that 12 agreements including energy, maritime and air traffic deals would be signed during President Medvedev's visit.

He said that Turkey and Russia also agreed in principle to remove visa requirements. An agreement could be signed during the Russian President's visit or later, the ambassador added.

Turkey supports nuclear weapon free zones
Turkey supports all efforts for non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, undersecretary Feridun Sinirlioglu said at a meeting on reviewing the NPT in the United Nations

Sinirlioglu said Turkey considered NPT the basis of the non-proliferation system.

Turkey, which is the party of all international agreements on non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, appreciated steps taken by countries to reduce its nuclear weapons, he said. Turkey welcomed a new Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START) signed by the United States and Russia on April 8, Sinirlioglu said.

Turkey also considered that Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) should be put into effect as soon as possible and Ankara invited all countries to sign this treaty, he said.

Sinirlioglu said Turkey attached a great importance to nuclear weapon free zones.

"We hope that states, party to the NPT, will benefit from opportunity created by this conference and will reiterate their promises for formation of nuclear weapon free zone in the Middle East," he said.

Sinirlioglu added that efforts for nuclear disarmament should be supported to end nuclear terrorism.

I hope that Turkey will never use it against any country as a weapon.

Greenpeace should force USA and Israel to give up their nuclear program before they stop Turkey, USA is country who had used and killed 100’s of thousands people In Japan and have the most number of nuclear weapons. Israel is another who has killed thousands of Innocent people and threatens other countries

I will support peaceful nuclear energy without a single nuclear weapon in the world

I just knew you were a Turkish Settler Imam!
