....or perhaps the married MP, Baytok whom Baykal was boinking with taped the whole thing herself to blackmail Baykal at later stage to further advance her own political ambitions.!

Hey, "If you can't fuck a friend, who can you fuck"??

Baykal & Baytok.......it has a certain sound to it.!

For me this is the most interesting part in this whole affair...Baykal has signaled that he has been in touch with Gulen (or vice versa) and he believed in Gulen's sincerity (meaning Gulen had nothing to do with this affair)...It shows that Fethullah Gulen's shadow is all over Turkey, and he has the means and the arguments to convince the most prominent champion of secularism(Baykal) of his innocence...

We live in interesting times indeed...I will venture an educated guess.Erdogan or the AKP had nothing to to with this. It was in their interest to keep Baykal where he is because he was not an efffective politician, and he would make sure the AKP votes would be maximised...Hence,the whole affair has nothing to do with the proposed constitutional changes, the CHP would push ahead with their challenge in the Constitutional Court,Baykal or no Baykal...Think about it...Who knew Baykal's affair with this MP,and who could organise to be present at the right time at the right place to take the video...??? I believe the culprits are within Baykal's own circle in the CHP who knew this was the only way to stop Baykal from being elected yet again to the position of CHP general secretary, and hence to the position of Opposition Leader in the coming CHP congress (in 2 weeks I believe)...Nothing else makes sense to me...

Or....here's a thought...he was horny and wanted to tape the whole thing for later use.

Or..maybe it was Piratis and GR...They wanted to cause political turmoil in Turkey,to hasten the change in the "balance of power"...This is as good a theory as any...

It is funny to hear this from a GC, mainly for two reasons... (1) CHP is the ideology/party that got hit the hardest from the coup in `80 among all others; (2) CHP is the party that actually prevented the declaration of 'jihad' against the gcs by the Islamic msp that was in coalition in `74 with CHP. The msp component of the government wanted to occupy the whole of Cyprus and annex it to Turkey - CHP stopped it. Guess who is considered as the continuation of msp today?...
