Can anyone tell me why it costs almost double flying Larnaca-Beirut-Larnaca compared to Beirut-Larnaca-Beirut?

It's because Cyprus flights are a bloody rip off. Will cost you more for a coffee at LCA airport too.

But Oracle has explained all this - it is because Cyprus only wants to appeal to the 'more discerning high end' of the tourist market! I kid you not.

I took some pics at the weekend to show what Cyprus has to offer them in the Larnaca region.

If you can book very early you can still get some bargains. Nearly all the flights I book (minimum 8 a year) have to be during school/uni holiday periods. Never get any bargains then.

I haven't booked a return flight for some years now. Just look for the cheapest going one way and do the same thing when ready to return. Usually never works out more than the returns quoted.
