Personally, I'm quite willing to pay the high price and the inflated cab fairs, just to prove I am of a higher class than the Cypriot elite - small fry when it comes to London prices

Penny wise and pound foolish comes to mind… I recall some Cypriots a few years ago who boarded Helios Air Flight 522 because it was “cheap” but never came back!

Z4,

its a tounge-in-cheek comment directed at those CYs that say that the prices are high to filter out the riff-raff when it is my experience that when the said CYs come to the UK moan about the prices.

GR are you saying airlines who offer bargain flights use planes that crash more often than airlines who charge more?

Almost sounds as if you think they deserved to die for trying to save money!

Wasn't that the crash where some Greek bloke lied about receiving a chilling text message from his 'cousin' on the plane? And it was reported before they found out it was a hoax?

Some of the prices I have seen would filter out everybody, the biggest culprits are CY Airways

For UK trips I always use Easyjet because they, typically, 20-30% cheaper than the other schedule carriers. But Easyjet have one of the 'youngest' fleets, with an average age of 3.5 years, so I have no safety fears about using them.

Not being a 'National' airline means that the cabin crew are of different nationalities; on yesterday's Airbus A321 there were 2 British, 1 Spanish, 1 Italian and an 'Aussie' - but we will forgive them that!

Flying Easyjet Saturday , I shall make a point of asking the girls of their nationalities , bearing in mind that of course not all of us can be ..perfect !!
