kafenes, it's not a matter of being able to afford it but why do flights to other places cost less??

It is all to do with supply and demand, you want to travel when a lot of other people do, then you will be screwed! Why do you think Christmas/New Year, Easter and school holidays are bloody expensive.

As with any business it is not the cost that determines the price, but what some dick heads are willing to pay!

What did it cost you?

My flight with Easy jet this coming Saturday is a very reasonable £162.00 , my last flight two weeks back cost £249.00 with Thomson air. Cyprus airways is a superb airline but costs considerably more and flights are out of Heathrow which does not suit me since Gatwick is so much closer.
Cyprus airport shops , so called duty free , nothing of the sort , are a 100% ripoff merchants. If Heathrow and Gatwick airports charge £1.25 for an espresso why on earth to the operators of Cyprus shops charge twice as much at 2.95 euros. A few trips back I was conned at Paphos and never forgave my indiscretion , I bough a couple of perfumes for two of my girls at work and paid 110.00 Euros for both. On the plane I looked at the price for exactly the same perfume and the price £35.00 each. Bloody crooks I thought never again.
Now Im not a mean man , but to be ripped off annoys me a great deal.

For someone who claimed he could “buy and sell” people (myself included), you sure got a Jewish streak… Image

O , I don't make statements that are untrue
Both Gatwick andHeathrow Costa Coffee charge 1.25 for espresso.
It's time you abandon the idea that somehow being
critical of any aspects concerning Cyprus is taboo.
The Cypriot airports are the most expensive in Europe for EVERYTHING!
it's not a question of you either afford it or not but a question of principle .
