I do not support the murder of any innocents, but the punishment of traitors who are anything but innocent. I support our right to protest against the invaders and their collaborators and demand justice and the liberation of our island.
Unfortunately this philosophy is also shared by lynch mobs who frequently get the wrong guy in their bloodlust for revenge. And that means the murder of innocents. We have to move away from this primative attitude.
Another issue is that columnists like Makarios who use his attention-seeking style in a place like Cyprus undermine the brave efforts of colleagues who put themselves at considerable risk elsewhere on the island, namely the north.
