Threats against the life of journalist Makarios Droushiotis!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

I do not support the murder of any innocents, but the punishment of traitors who are anything but innocent. I support our right to protest against the invaders and their collaborators and demand justice and the liberation of our island.

You don't support the murder of innocents but you do support extra-judicial killings (you've just said so) you do support lynch mob justice (you've just said so), you do support vengeance killings of those who you disagree (you've just said so). And you Piratis speak of your support for human rights ! Human rights in your book spells self-interest, because when you advocate extra-judicial, lynch-mob, and vengeance killings, of necessity innocent people will be killed. In every one else's book that defines a fascist.

Apart from you advocating the casual breach of the most basic right to life, you also deny people a right to a fair trial - with you and your murderous friends acting as prosecution, judge, jury and executioner.

Yours is a disgraceful posting.

There is no doubt about it.
Now from what Paphitis said it is not clear we had a threat. Perhaps however we had a prompting/urging of others to "remove the right of Droushiotis to live".
Typical lawyers puzzle, i don't think it will be easy to conclude this case.

Thank God all curses and threats in this forum are from unknwns to unknowns otherwise we would all end up in trouble

Halil used to threaten me ...

Don't worry Stella mou the best he can do is shoot you at his PC screen.

Reh Pyro ... en na se skotoso!

sta filia?

Now, I wonder what defence you could contrive against that! :D

All just a figure of speech just like the comments on http://christofias-watch.blogspot.com/ are. The comments in question on that site would just as easily be defended by an average lawyer.

Just expect Y-Cunt to threaten you with legal action. His stupidity is mind boggling!

I totally agree. This is an opinion forum and if we use some evidence to back up our opinions, our posts still remain as matters of opinion and you cannot (in a sane world) punish someone for their opinions. One should instead try and change it with logic, reason and debate (not enough of that).

I'm sure lawyers would look at the whole weight of evidence anyway plus matters of relationship (even if only virtual) would be taken into account. Which is why in the end I forgave halil and his poor sense of humour (matched only by his poor English :D ).

There are crazy loonies out there who might be influenced by something someone writes on a blog but that would be the same for a film or a song or a novel. We can't start censoring everything heavily just to guard against every eventuality.

Freedom of speech is one of our most precious gifts to each other.

Where did it come from then?

Why are some people so easily denied this gift?

Why does this gift usually co-occur with the other luxury gifts of wealth and education?

Why can you legally withhold freedom of speech from individuals and not be found guilty of the same crime as withholding air, water and food?

Of course it's a gift. A precious, exclusive to lucky Humans, gift.

One day, it may become ubiquitous ... {like Starbucks :D }

I do not support any of those things you filthy criminal invader.

What I support is to take those who collaborate with you to help you occupy our country and violate our human rights, take them to courts, and if found guilty of collaborating with the enemy in any way, execute them. Treason is one of the worst crimes for which the death penalty is the appropriate punishment, especially in times of war.

Traitors are not "innocent", far from it. I would never support the murder of any innocent. This is what you do.

"Filthy, criminal invader"? Well, well, well. A good of example of the point I just made to you on another thread:

"Nobody is helping Turkey more than died-in-the-wool bigots like yourself, but you will never understand that."

Another example of intimidating people who tell it as it is.

What else do you call the perpetrators of a massive ethnic cleansing and continuing illegal occupation and colonisation of a sovereign country?

Cuddly, soft bunny-wunnies?
