And my point is that the "you are not trusted" slogan was always a groundless excuse for other aims.

How do you guarantee this for the Greek minority in Turkey or any other minority in any other country? We can apply the exact same guarantees for the Turkish minority in Cyprus.

these other countries do not concern me as i do not live there nor do they have GCs with a bad track record when sharing with TCs.

Talking of "bad track records" when sharing, how is the record of Turkey when sharing with its own minorities, like the Greeks, Armenians, Kurds etc? How was the track record in the USA or the UK when sharing with the Black slaves?

And when it comes to Cyprus, how is your track record with sharing with GCs during the last 400 years?

All in all, our track record is better than those of most majorities in other countries, and your track record is about as bad as it can get for a minority, possibly can only be compared with the one of Whites in South Africa.

But regardless of what happened in history, the way forward and the right thing to do in all countries is to have equal citizens without racist discriminations. This is the 21st century of the UN and EU Cyprus, not the middle ages of Ottoman rule or South Africa of Apartheid. So it is about time to stop the lame excuses in your effort to maintain racist gains on the expense of the human and democratic rights of the majority of the population.

For 307 years the Turks had the 100% of power in Cyprus and they didn't share any of it with us. Then with the unfair 1960 constitution which was imposed on the Cypriot people the TCs took way more power than what an 18% minority should have.

Your minority should get what the Greek minority gets in Turkey and what all other minorities get in all other countries. This is what is fair. If you continue trying to have gains on the expense of our human and democratic rights which your minority does not deserve we will continue to fight back. We will not just sit back and let you enjoy ill received gains on our expense. You will never again enjoy such ill received gains. The Ottoman rule is over. Now it is either you becoming equal Cypriot citizens without any ill received gains, or the war you started will go on for as long as it is needed for justice to prevail.

What illiteracy... Ottoman Empire was the most liberal of its peers in the era you are referring to. GCs had an autonomous educational, religious and judicial system, had representation in Istanbul in the palace, did not have to do military service, was free to do trade, and appointed its own Archbishop - all of which was unmatched an unprecedented during the era for minorities. Show me one minority in an empire during these times with the collective rights and privileges that you were granted by the Ottomans. The archbishop had authority and control in Cyprus nearly matching that of the appointed governor for the three centuries you are referring. Get a grip on reality.

Four centuries later, you as GCs are still behind in vision and mentality from what even the Ottomans were.

What a load of nonsense. The Archbishop had to do everything he was ordered, he had no power of his own apart from minor day to day issues. The Christian native population had to pay many times more taxes than the Muslims, and their testimony was not even accepted in courts.

When the archbishop tried to support the freedom of the Cypriot people from the barbarian foreign invaders this is what happened to him and 100s of others:

During the Greek War of Independence in 1821, the Ottoman authorities feared that Greek Cypriots would rebel again. Archbishop Kyprianos, a powerful leader who worked to improve the education of Greek Cypriot children, was accused of plotting against the government. Kyprianos, his bishops, and hundreds of priests and important laymen were arrested and summarily hanged or decapitated on July 9, 1821.

Such criminal practices might have been normal for that era, but unfortunately the mentality of the Turks has not changed since then, and this is the problem. The Muslim minority still thinks that they should have privileges and gains on the expense of the human and democratic rights of the majority of the population, as if we are still living in the era of the Ottomans!
