37% of the RoC has already been Turkified.

There is nothing more we can lose from this point, and when one side has nothing to lose, that is when they are at their most dangerous!

Don't ever forget that shithead. Turkey's presence is only temporary!

My theory is that you cannot force UNNATURAL things on the route of history. Enosis with Greece would be an unnatural event even if there were absolutely no TCs in Cyprus. For thousands of years Cyprus (although mostly inhabited by Greek speaking people) developed very differently from the people living in Greece. If enosis would happen we would have too many clushes and fights with the mainland Greeks. In the end of course we would yield and subordinate, but we wouldn’t be Cypriots anymore, we would be some marginal peasants, perhaps the most contempted peasants in the Greek state. Let’s not FOOL ourselves.

The natural elements of Enosis already occured: Elementary and high school education text books and syllabus are the same as those used in Greece, enriched by some 20-30% with local text books. Still a lot of GCs prefer private education at English schools. This is the most natural thing that could ever occur and it did.
Although our relegion is the same, the priests in Cyprus set as precondition in case ENOSIS would happen in the 60s, that the Cypriot Church would not subordinate to THE GREEK CHURCH claiming their independent/autocephalous rights they received from Byzantium. The real reason of course was and still is the material wealth/lands/properties they possess.
Every now and then there are some efforts from the Greek Church to subordinate the Cypriot church and we all witness the fierce reaction of the Cypriot church.

For reasons of necessity we GCs created the National Guard, which in effect is a subordinate body to the Greek Army. So in this respect there is ENOSIS with Greece in the Army. The question is whether this element of Enosis is natural and effective or not. It is NOT and everybody knows it. It is doubtful whether in case of war Greece will do anything for Cyprus, 99% of the Greek officers come in Cyprus for the money and nothing else, 1 out of 3 young GCs refuse to serve in the NG, as for the "åíéáéï áìõíôéêï äïãìá" /"common defence plan" between Greece and Cyprus, every now and then we have MPs debating whether it exists or whether it is dead.

On the other side of the whole Enosis/Taksim duo, we had the equally unnatural Taksim applied by force on 37% of Cyprus. We all know the catastrophic consequences of this, the major one being that more than half the TCs have already abandoned the place and are constantly being replaced by settlers. The only natural thing that happened to the Turkish Enosis(Taksim) dream was on the educational system, the same way it happened to the GCs.

Because of those actions that aimed at applying UNNATURAL things in Cyprus be it Enosis/Taksim, we are at what we are today. The natural thing in the route of history would have been to develop a brotherhood CYPRIOT bond between GCs and TCs but we were not given the time nor the chance by those who ruled us. And when they gave us the chance in the 60s nobody was wise enough to understand that both forced Enosis/taksim were unnatural, so instead of creating a brotherhood bond we became enemies!

The question now is: Is it possible to start creating that brotherhood bond today? What should we do? The answer is YES but is VERY DIFFICULT. As long as there are a lot of people from both sides who still regard the people of the other community as enemies, no matter how many TC friends Bananiot makes, no matter how much participation some people have at biccomunal groups the widespread brotherhood bond between GCs and TCs will never occur. Here we need to create a brotherhood bond between those people who now consider each other ENEMIES. And the ONLY way to do that is create bonds of common interests between those GC and TC enemies on a very wide range. This must only come from the leaders. And this is how:

We need a visioned TC leader who will change the very basis of the northen area, change it’s constitution and everything, so that Greek Cypriots regain their basic rights there on the matter of properties and residence. At the same time all TC properties in the RoC conntrolled area be given unconditionally to the TC owners. The second phase would be the GCs to find ways to boost the TC economy, perhaps by turning a blind eye on whatever means "recognition" or perhaps by financing the TCs directly. After the TC economy becomes strong they themselves will ask Turkey to leave on exchange of complete demilitarisation. A few years later to proceed to some negotiations on how to bond the 2 areas in a Unified Federal State. I wouldn’t even call them negotiations, they would just be natural/common sense measures required.

Nobody invited you to live anywhere near us. Turks came here on their own will and the least you can do is start respecting the majority of the population of this island, something which you never did.

You can take your threats elsewhere. I am not going to hide or change my identity in order to save myself from the punishment of the Turks. Those Cypriots who were thinking like that are "Turks" now, ask YFred.

I don't want any revenge, what I demand is the 100% of my human and democratic rights. But yes, we could be dangerous to those who deny these rights to us. Stop being a disrespectful, stop violating our human and democratic rights and you have nothing to fear from revolting Cypriots.

Tim Drayton wrote:Piratis, just to clarify matters, perhaps you can explain the logic of saying "you knew that you were coming to a Greek island when you first came here" to a person who was born in Cyprus. I must be stupid, but please bear with me, because it makes no sense to me.

That "you" is a plural "you" and it refers to the Turkish community in Cyprus and not personally to Bir.

The claim by Bir and some others is that we supposedly committed the "crime" of trying to make Cyprus a Greek island. I simply reminded Bir that Cyprus was already a Greek island even before any Turk set his foot in Cyprus. So we didn't try to "turn" Cyprus into anything that it wasn't already.

The only thing we asked was for Cyprus to be finally officially integrated into the Greek State, as it happened with all other Greek territories and islands which were liberated and gradually united in a single Greek state.

Uniting Cyprus with the rest of the Greek territories not only was not a "crime" but in fact it was a 100% legitimate option as defined by the UN resolution for decolonization.
http://www.un.org/Depts/dpi/decolonizat ... ration.htm

Furthermore, union with Greece was not turned against TCs or any other minority in any way, and our armed struggle was against the Colonialists, not against the TCs.

So I didn't blame Bir for anything his ancestors did. I simply reminded him of these facts, and beyond that if he doesn't like the fact that he was born on a Greek island then he can blame his own ancestors, not us for being what we have always been.

As far as the name calling and insults go, you are the one who started this against me, with several posts, and I only replied in a very mild way compared to what you said against me.

Sorry to come back to the following, but I have just seen it.

Pyrpolyser wrote

Code: Select all
FIRST SENTENSE-->> Conclussion: we don't know his nationality
BEGINING OF SECOND SENTENSE ---> My personal opinion
SECOND SENTENSE AFTER the NEVERTHELESS ---> Even if my personal opinion were true, it doesn't matter for me personally, I respect the person for what he is, i know him, i discussed with him many times.

Although it was Copperline who started it, Piratis overreacted and I thought by posting the above would help stop the fight AT THAT POINT.

Why is it only you who sees it like that? Other people understood it as it was, some people even expressed their own opinions about what the nationality of Copperline might be. What's wrong with that???

Btw you are too fast in labeling with the WORST INSULTS everybody. What was the label you used Vs Syllouris a "fascist "?
I tell you what, you don't know what a fascist is...

My whole argument focused on the first sentence Pyrpolyser wrote but, judging by his half hearted effort to explain, he still fails to grasp the essence of my criticism. He said, in the first sentence:

I suspect he is some Turkish diplomat (he did not say he didn't know his nationality.

All I am basically asking is for Pyrpolyser to tell us how he came to the conclusion that copperline is a Turkish diplomat (and thus his views are biased towards the Turkish side and we should noy take him seriously). I have an issue with this logic because this is the legacy the late President Papadopoulos left us and we should throw this in the dustbin, as fast as we can. He could not tolerate a different opinion. He saw traitors everywhere, people that say in Greek what the Turks say in Turkish, people that spend time in the courtyard of Xerxes and all these rubbish. He was the spiritual father of the infamous "ambient tmoshere".

The insinuation that someone that I do not agree with might be Turkish will not neutralise his arguments in a cultured society but sounds like sweet music to the ears of the bananiots in this plantation. It shows limited mental capability for those that make such arguments and those that accept these arguments as god sent.

There are so many inaccuracies/wrongs/and insults in your post as i already coloured above that made your post too coloureful/kind of a rainbow to be answered.
Try to decolour it....
