I read that more UK voters were glued to telly watching riots in Greece than were watching the election unfold.

They could of course call another general election (they've done it in the past) but I should think the cost of it alone would be enough to put them off.

All parties spend weeks before election day traipsing round encourage EVERYONE to vote and then, on the day, they cannot cope with the numbers because 'they didn't expect so many' to turn out? From my experience, those most likely to go down in the evenings and vote are WORKING TAXPAYERS who cannot get there earlier in the day.
