Since Britain is struggling to make ends meet, perhaps they can reschedule the 2012 Olympics back in Greece? In fact ... they should stay home. More Green! Sound! 8)

I actually like this idea

I think its a well known fact that just about every country which hosts the games goes into a huge financial deficit.

So why not keep it in one place permanently and Greece as its original home would be a fine choice.

The Facilities are in place and the maintainance costs would be acceptable if the event (and the money it brings in) had a permanent home.

Maybe the costs could be covered by the IOC.

It would sure save a lot of grief for the host countries.

They asked Costas Varnalis who he considered to be the most desirable woman and he answered.

T' allounou! Meaning, the other man's woman.

I think this ties very well with the Greek thesis that for all our problems others are to blame. When we achieve something, of course we do it against all odds.

Those that are really interested to find out the answer to the question posed, read the following book. You will gobble it up in one sitting.

yeah! especially if they test the locals in the vicinity of the stadium. Come to think of it they are probably rubbing their hands with glee at the thought of all those new customers!

well thats how a reporter described it on international tv the other night.
Standing in front of the stadium at the time, was he referring to Olympic facilites i wonder?
I happen to think that a permanent site for the Olympics is a sensible idea, i also happen to think it should be in Greece but maybe not in congested Athens..

The stadium was built in 1982.

It's the home ground of the best Greek football team: FC Panathinaikos!
