WHO IS CONTROLING THE DESTROY OF GREEK FLAGS IN CYPRUS?

Postby EPSILON » Tue May 04, 2010 3:55 pm

Dear All

I am out of Cyprus for long time now.
I was just had a telecom with a Greek/C citizen in Tracchoni area-outside Limassol.

I learned that some- TRAMPOUKKOI- destroying the Greek flags of the local church and scholl buliding every night.

WARNING TO ALL: GREEK flag on religion or education buildings in Cyprus are protected by Constitution!!!Therefore ,as Greeks of Cyprus and in line to our state's Constitution ,we have to protect the simbols of our Ethnicity by all means otherwise we are trators.!!!

We hereby notify all parties involve , persons actually effecting the action, political parties supporting them, that we are preparing a legal action against all of them and we will DEMAND our Ethnicity rights through the ROC hight court

Notifivation is valid for 15 days-afterwords legal action will be taken

The same article of the constitution also permits and protects the flying of the flag of another sovereign foreign nation!

If you are prepared to come and defend me if I fly the Turkish flag from my home in Limassol, then I will happily defend people's constitutional right to fly the Greek flag.

Republic of Cyrpus Constitution. Article 4-4

Any citizen of the Republic or any body, corporate or unincorporate other than public, whose members are citizens of the Republic, shall have the right to fly on their premises the flag of the Republic or the Greek or the Turkish flag without any restriction.

Ooops! I am not a citizen, so I do not have that right. But, on the other hand, it appears that public bodies lack the right to fly these foreign flags, too. So that means the school has no constitutional right to fly this flag. I don't know if the church is considered to be a public body or not.

I have no idea who it is but I would very much like to shake their hand. I assume you will call me a traitor in your next post so I will ask you to copulate with yourself in advance.
