Cyprus Grump

Postby johbee » Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:47 am

I have to say the old British sports cars are my favorite. Had MG's and Triumphs and would love to eventually have an E type in the garage. It would be a hard choice between an old 60's split window Corvette and an E-type though. I was just in the States and went through the Corvette museum in Kentucky. Wow, some history there. Gotta clean out the garage first though. For Grump I've got an old Porsche 924 just collecting dust in my garage. She's 30 years old and will put a smile on your face everytime you jump in. Noisy, smelly, no ABS, no traction control, no parking sensors, just lots seat of your pants driving. If you're interested in some cheap classic fun I might be willing to part with the old girl. She's in excellent original condition.

Thanks for that!

I have my hands full (and covered with paint/oil/grease) at the moment restoring a Mini 1275GT.

in england if you pay 200 pounds they let you drive a ferrari and lambrighini around their track, you get 4 laps and you can even record it and keep a copy :D

though now you can buy those cars fairly cheap, a ferrari f430 second hand you can find for 40 thousand now, thats mercedes money, but i bet it would cost a lot of money to run to have insurance tax mot and the rest of it

Lovely until some dick head pulls out of a side turning straight into you! At least in a car you have some protection.
