I had an unexpected phone call from one of my friend one hour ago. He was freakin out, he was in the one Greek Cypriot Police Station in Nicosia, and he cannot speak either Greek or English, so he wanted me to be a translator and provide communication between him and the police officer.
First, he explained the incident that he just had. He incidentally crossed inside of Apoel fans around Coca-Cola round about and he got attacked by some of them. His car's rear and side windows and also outside mirros had been broken. Especially one red motorcycle (two person on it, driver's helmet was white and blue) attacked him hatefully. He told me that he shocked, very scared and immediately drove into the nearest police station and saved his life.
So, I talked to police officer and made translation what they both said. Officer and my friend understood each other about some subjects (damage compensation procedure with insurance company, documentation etc.) and he just came to the north side.
You will probably see this incident tomorrow's or following days T/C newspapers. These kind of incidents still continue and nobody takes initiative. I hope, criminals will be found this time. This is not just hooliganism, this is more than hooliganism, and this is definitely racism!
By the way, after this bad news of course Viva Omonia!
