I too received a communication from Clegg, regarding the "Memorial" which was to be erected in the "trnc". Before he was shown to be the 'pretty boy' making the best alongside two very poor candidates (Brown and Cameron) I took him for a schoolboy trying to suck up to a teacher when there was very little up top but a desire to please mummy by "doing well". In short, a disappointing Lib-Dem leader who would be swayed by misguided "liberal" sentiments as soon as some crafty Zionist got hold of his nether regions ... the Choirboy that he is ...

Under the circumstances, I shall abstain. Let the Brits go to hell! They'll be going round with begging bowls shortly anyway ... What a waste of all I have put into the UK!

Greece is only asking for what she is owed from the Germans, specifically, for the destruction they caused Greece during WWII and from the EU, generally, for teasing Turks into thinking they can enter the EU thus necessitating over-expenditure on weapons to patrol EU borders!

If anyone is going to shake up the civilised western world which Greece created, it is Greece herself. The US/UK not only let those crisis-causing bankers get away with murder, they positively rewarded them! Now the common people of Greece are fighting for the sake of all of us!

You're right. They can't be equated. Mrs Tony Blair, the wife of the then Labour Prime Minister's actions were far, far more damaging to Cyprus than a few Jewish LibDems, expressing personal opinions, and whose motivations are entirely transparent. Hatter, Mrs Blair was very aware of the concern of Cypriots over the Orams case. She knew it was a sensitive case and being the wife of the British PM she should have turned it down, her effing sidekick even suggested that I took legal advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau or the Law Society - and then she goes on to defend thieving Orams. Although I am entitled to vote in the UK election, that is their problem! I am much more interested voting here in the country where I live, which I should be able to do for the elections next year.

British elections have nothing to do with Cyprus. The Brits should mind their own business and clear off their bases & troops from the island. I had enough with colonial military presence, no need for their politics either!

Last time I checked, the Canadians in Cyprus are a total of 1 (one) guy...
No foreign troops have any business in Cyprus... all of them! Get out.

The financial mess has been caused, in no small measure by the Iraq war and also by "light touch" regulation of the financial services industry - neither of which the Tories (Her Majesty's opposition at the time) opposed. Don't kid ourself. The Tories would have created the same mess.

there is more to the financilal mess than those 2 issues

we have given Bilions away to people from other countries in benefits who should never have been given them

example.....an imigrant comes here to the uk to work...lowers the basic wages...says that he/she has children back home.....and then gets family tax credits on top of their wages to send back to the eastern block

tax credits where put into place to help uk families on lower incomes to manage.......not for all and sundry to come here and take

a family I know.....came here 20 years ago from hungary....they worked and settled here.....they have just brought over their mother to live with them.......I have no problems with their mother coming here to live..but within 6 months.....this lady was given.....DLA.....Attendance Allowance....Housing Benefit......and they where given Carers Allowance for taking care of her.........now this is a lady that has never been in the uk before..and doesn't speak one word of english.....and she has never paid a penny into our economy

and she is NOT alone...there are 1000's and 1000's of people comming into the UK just for our benefits
