Cypriot Nationalism can it exist now?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

We want Cyprus to remain – or return to – the way it has traditionally been. We accept that Cyprus always will have ethnic minorities, including British and Muslims, and have no problem with this as long as they remain minorities and do not change nor seek to change the fundamental culture and identity of the indigenous peoples of Cyprus.

The CNP’s policy on British, Turkish and other immigrants is to:

- Deport all the thousands who are here illegally; (the carpetbaggers/settlers)

- Deport all those who commit crimes; (the carpetbaggers/settlers)

- Offer grants to immigrant residents who wish to leave permanently;

- Stop all new immigration except for exceptional cases.

This is just Nick Griffens polices in the uk .....

 Nick Griffin wants to deport thousands of criminal Brits? Hasn't someone told him that many have already gone to north Cyprus?

great ideas! tell you what, why dont the CNP buy a half a page in an English newspaper and thell them exactly the ideals of the party are and what you think of them ?
that woul'd fulfill part of your policy on immigration and tourism in one hit.
And if your not having foreign input on Cypriot life send a copy to a German newspaper when you return all the Beemers and Mercs you bought...You will become the Amish of the Med.

Just remember where brands of nationalism got germany, Italy, spain

What's really sad is that there are people like MP that actually exist - the world moves on and they cling to a vision of the past that has long since been moved on and can never return.

Here's a song you can humm to and think of the days you long for....

Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
Oh, I believe in yesterday.

Suddenly, I'm not half to man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.

And for all those nice people who do not want to leave , a little ethnic cleansing is it,God we are back to the dark age again.

I would like to know which bits of this "full curriculum" of our history would instill pride in our young people.

Certainly, most of the last few hundred years have been shamefully shit!

True!

I can't think of many places that have a shittier history than Cyprus in the last few centuries. :(

And then we are told by the CNP to revise the only parts of History where Cypriots were actually happy and proud.
