Cypriot Nationalism can it exist now?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

You'd have to learn the meaning of the word first...

So I am affraid I am in your against us camp.

I can't imagine anyone wanting you in their camp!

I will be proud and happy to have YFred in my camp any time...so there... :P :P :P

Good for you. You can go camping together and run into other like-minded souls.

You lost it sunshine. Go get another campus.

When our Mal goes camping even his mother doesn't recognise him,YF...

Why not at least try and make your put downs witty? This isn't even half witty, which means you don't even qualify as a half-wit.

But you do...

No Bir, we aint givin it away, he is not even half-wit. Maybe a quarter.

Don't be mean to Mala,YF...At least he doesn't say Cyprus is a Greek island...His heart is in the right place...Now if he got real and admitted we are in this mess because of the ENOSIS demand of his forefathers,we might actually get somewhere with him...

But nationalism is always a bad idea, it may start as something but it always leads to exclusivity and we know where that leads to.

I only have one father and he didn't demand it. And even if he did I wouldn't hold him or his ilk responsible for the mess in Cyprus, merely unwitting contributors.

Sure, but if Mal can see that it was Greek nationalism which led to demand for ENOSISwhich in turn gave rise to Turkish nationalism and the TMT,He might realise how nationalism can be used to destroy countries...He might than conclude that you don't need nationalism or even patriotism to love your country and want the best for it and for all those who live in it... 8)

"Unwitting contributors" is actually a good place to begin with,Mal. And it is much better than chosing the easy option and blaming everything on the Turks and TCs...Now,what do you think about the contribution of Greece ,Turkey, and The TCs???

This is the Cypriot nationalist thread and all who stand in the way of Cypriot liberty are worthy of contempt.

It's not my fault you guys are a few pavers short of a pavement.

I am truly touched that the white knight in shining armour is rattling his sabre to save a damsel in distress.

It's not my fault you are all too stupid to not miss the obvious.

Get Real! wrote:Some of us are 100% Cypriot with no association with Greece or Turkey whatsoever!

We are the REAL and ONLY Cypriots on the island with our ancient ancestors stemming from 10 millenniums ago (8,000BC) to the ancient Choirokoitians of Cyprus.

These “Greeks of Cyprus” and “Turks of Cyprus” mongrels are nothing but a constant foreign nuisance to our country, and indeed the Cyprus problem itself serving foreign interests.

You say some ( ie MINORITY ) of us are 100% Cypriots, how many,
1 2, 100 ? Stop your propaganda and let the majority solve the Cyprus problem without bringing sub-variations as in chess opening theory.
