If you're renting and decide to leave don't pay the last months rent because you'll never ever get your deposit back on the flimsiest of excuses.
The Cypriots are lovely people but they make Jews look like spendthrifts.

So once again we get someone who wasn't willing to argue the toss branding all Cypriots as con artists!

The gullible will always get ripped off in whatever country they are!

Good Morning;

You were too polite :twisted:

loise wrote:Hi, i have just been offered a good job in cyprus and I am currently considering this. Obviously the lifestyle is a big magnet to the yes side.

The only issue is my parents have put a doubt in my head. This is not to appear presumptious, i have never been to cyprus but my parents have. They seem to think as a pale skinned blonde female that i will find it very hard to live there due to attitudes particularly from men.

I was just curious as to know what people who have been there and or live there think? and are my parents just worrying for no reason.

Kind regards

Loise

Jesus / Allah you have not even attent an interview and you got a job whilst abroad . You must possess an extraordinary talent with men or with women.

Did you finish Harvard Business School or you are a relative of Queen ?

Being from the Republic of Ireland I am of no relation to the queen!!! Have the qualifications and had a phone interview the job was arranged through a medical company in the uk.

Think you can get ripped of anywhere in the world, just have to keep my wits about me. Glad ye all have such great things to say though!!!

Cypriot is different to Greek so don’t waste your time with that! Here’s something to get you started in Cypriot…

NB: Give emphasis on the bolded letter.

Endaxi = Ok

Ela = come

Oi = No

Nee = Yes

Yiassou = Hi (one)

Yiassas = Hi (many)

Efharisto = Thanks

Efia = I’m off

Avrio = Tomorrow

Ehtes = Yesterday

Broi = Morning

Be careful what GR teaches you, it's kosher so far, but knowing him, he will slip something dodgy in somewhere!
