Varosha: a logistical nightmare?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

That told them you brave hero you. Do you know where the ausi soldiers in Cyprus were when the war broke out? Hiding under their bunks, lying on top of each other and apparently they do the same when there is no war too.
Find out, and you may learn a thing or two about war, arsehole.

I didn't know there were Aussie soldiers in Cyprus!

Do you have a link as to the whereabouts of the Aussie SAS? Not even their mummy and daddy know their whereabouts and yet Y-Cunt seems to have more knowledge than the M15, CIA and ASIO put together! Must be the University of Lurucuntia education!

Using foul language.....

Postby cymart » Sat May 01, 2010 5:17 pm

..is a sign of lack of control and a lack of knowledge of the correct words,as I was taught at school.......
But I don't mind someone bringing up how Varosha was abandoned on the 14 th of August 1974 by most of its inhabitants after they discovered that the army, police and most other authorities had already left them defenceless!!This is one of the biggest scandals of the 1974 war and I had the priveledge of working in Limassol for a number of years with the late Demetris Kayiatos who organised a civil defence batallion/emergency hospital at great personal risk with some other brave people at the Marcos Hotel in Stavros. Please do not blame the civilians of Famagusta for leaving after tyhe authorities had already done so!
But I am not going to keep arguing with Paphitis about the other points because it seems that other prominent people have similar views to me such as Nicos Rolandis, former Presidents Clerides and Vasiliou to name just a few....or does he consider they are all wrong too?
As for quite a few of the Paphians,I am by no means the first person to have have remarked about their pseudo-patriotic attitude and the same applies to other towns on this side-for example Rina Catselli even wrote the same about people in Limassol in her book which she wrote in 1975.Yiannis Vrahimis also analyses the problem in his book 'Daimon tis kyprou.'Losing everything to a visible enemy is bad enough but being shafted by people who are supposedly on your own side is even worse...

The four of you together are as prominent as Grivas’ stature. 8)

All this bickering about owning this and that is a reflection of this narrow thinking, unless you have discovered the secret of how to live this life for ever?
Of course the truth is that nobody really owns anything, they just take temporary possession of it!You are all slaves to your illusions and your devils....

Unlike you, oh Enlightened One ?

In the words of the great Eric Cartman, this sounds like all a bunch of tree hugging hippy crap!

BTW, cymart, what are your views on the Katyn Forest issue?

Just another one of Stalins many hideous crimes that he tried to blame on other people or cover up!And yet they will have his portait on-show again at the annual celebrations for the end of World War two in Moscow next week!

I do not see any logistics nightmare in the issue. The movement of the demarcation line a few blocks here or there will not make any substantial difference. The suplly of the city can be carried out from the south through Dherinia.

When the reconstruction starts, and the TC businessmen realise the profits to be made, the pressure on the TRNC authorities to accomodate the GC side will be very strong. Look at it this way, you can hold on to the derelict hospital and government buildings, or you can move the services housed there and hand over a few more blocks to the GCs to rebuild using TC contractors at no cost to the TRNC economy. For them it is pure profit.

Even Eroglu understands the phrase "pure profit".

And have your fellow countrymen genuinely forgiven for that event of the past?
