Paphitis I know that. It is Palio who seems confused about it. He seems to think that countries can just offer whatever they like. Mind you, he also seems to think that if all gave just 60m Greece's problems would be solved!

Maybe if Cyprus had to give an amount in relation to the size of their dicks, then they would be the biggest donors.

no of course not, but if cyprus is able to offer that much...

This is such a diffcilut situation for the Greek Government; violent protests against austerity measures, some of which have not even been announced yet. Surely, these people realise that something has to be done to redress the situation - it cannot go on as it is. How do they think a solution can be found, unless drastic measures are taken?

These protests are hardly reassuring for Germany and France, both of who have their own financial problems, when assessing the risks involved in making this loan.

Mind you, the Government has to take much of the blame: civil servants paid bonuses for turning up on time, forresters paid bonuses for working outdoors, 40 gardeners employed by an Athens hospital which ahs no gardens.....
