It is a general rule that destination countries pay better exchange rates than UK. However there is no harm checking, the election will not make any difference unless you are asking for the exchange rates after the election in which case toss a coin up in the air if you have one that is and heads is yes and tails is no.

Whatever happens after the election with regard to the strength of the pound against the euro it is all a gamble. It is looking better at the moment but may drop or rise so it is up to them to decide.I always change money in Cyprus in Paphos at the shops round the harbour as always get a better rate than the bank or in the UK.At the moment I would change a couple of hundred in Uk while it is better than it has been and then keep an eye on it.
