Yes one more of our young boy is on his way to Australia.....they are all going away one by one....... because of unknowing of Cyprus problem all young brains are running away from their own motherland.

last night we made their wedding in Omorfo.... it was nice wedding but at the end they left mother, father, brothers, sisters and his loved ones in tears.

All their fault was to be Turkish Cypriot and live in here.... Let the Malapapa and others not to let Turkish Cypriots to breath.... not to have any future in these lands..... go for exile our boys ..... go.....

no one must invest any single penny in these lands for your future my boy.... its all yours fault .... u created this Cyprus problem....u have no rights to work or do business in this bloody Cyprus....because you are Turkish Cypriot my boy.... they don't care what your mother or loved one thinks..... Good luck with your new life ....

Common Umit one more boy comes over Melbourne !

It is very sad. But it happens elsewhere too. Young people leave the West Country in the UK because the job opportunities are just not there for them and the house prices have been driven up high by incomers from 'up country'. And, similar to Cyprus really, it seems mainly 'pensioners' who move in to replace them (pensioners are not worried about job opportunities, schools, etc).

My eldest son travels all over the world with his job. He is not sure where he will eventually settle, but says that most of the countries he'd like to settle in just don't have enough industry of the sort he works in. None of my 3 adult offspring would live here in the RoC on account of there just not being enough job opportunity.

Hopefully this young man leaving for Aus will have a wonderful life out there.

Also lets not forget the 100s of thousands of GCs (more than the whole TC population) who were forced out of their homeland.

And all these because of the Turkish occupation and the insistence on partition.

Halil, how about if you stop demanding that people should abandon their homeland in order to facilitate partition, and instead allow everybody to live freely in the land of their ancestors as equal Cypriot and EU citizens?

Sad story.
Unfortunately the Cyprus problem causes suffering to both sides. In Physics they say every ACTION causes an equal and opposite REACTION. This story tells the results of the REACTION....

Anyway just curious why do you only talk about the boy? How about the bride? Is she TC, settler, Australian, what?
