The truth is the GCs are about 30 years backwards regarding the value of University education, and the TCs even more backwards due to their long years in the open prison.
While education is always a good thing, it's a long time now that University Education it does not guarantee you a job of an equivalent status. As for REAL SUCCESS in life usually University education is a burden because it consumes too much energy from one's most dynamic years in life.
btw Bill Gates did not even graduate high school...

Today to be successful you a)have to start young b)take risks c)use your brain d)always go for NEW TECHNOLOGY. Buy it, use it, put it on work, make a business out of it.

He would have been much closer to Cyprus and his family had he done that, or was it the case, that he really didn't care if he went as far away as possible from Cyprus and his family, or that if his wife is a non "Turkish" origin, she did not like to live amongst the TCs or Turks or their way of life.? It may also be that he is a very conscience young man and that he does not want to live in a "corrupted society" created by the leaders in the north.???

A lot of questions, I know, but something just doesn't add up here.!

Kikapoo, why do Turks come to work in TRNC and do jobs that TC will not do?
You serve no purpose on this forum other than fan the flames of hatred.
Why don't you just fuck off.

So what you are saying, is that, it is not through a lack of jobs, but the TCs are so high almighty they don't want to do them???

Using VP's language, you have just hit YFred for SIX with your post, B25.!

Kiks;

Of Course you could also ask B25 why they have all the cheap labour from Sri Lanka and other far eastern countries; Cant the GCs look after their own elderly folk? ...and other menial duties?

Hi Deniz,

Of course every country brings in immigrants to do jobs locals do not want, specially by countries who's living standards are quiet high.

There's a little difference here however. The north gets money from Turkey to survive, and yet, the young from the north are not willing to do any kind of menial jobs, just because they see it beneath themselves, so they bring in workers for those jobs from the very country who is supporting them financially, which their own people, the Turks, live on less than what the TCs do. It has become the case of "Beggars can be choosers" here. The danger is, the young in the north have become/will become bunch of "primadonnas" if they think doing any kind of menial job will make them ashamed, in which case, the educated TCs will rather leave the north for other countries to find work than do something less than they want until they can find a better job, or live at home on their parents money, if they should have any. The not so educated will also leave, just because they too will not want to be seen as "not making it in life" and have all the social pressures brought upon them, just because no TC should do such menial jobs for a while. The TCs are attaching shame on themselves for doing any kind of menial jobs. There is a fundamental danger here that the north will lose most of their young one way or another with this kind of mentality. As I've said, you cannot have more "Chiefs than Indians", or else everything will become upside down, and the north will be without TCs in no time at all. For many TCs, they will either become professional or be doing menial jobs abroad, but not in the "trnc".!!

Which bit of " you can't expect people with university degrees to work as street cleaners" do you not understand, old chap?

It is their choice to work or not. If they did not live off their parents, they would do what is necessary in the interim until they get a better job, or else they would go abroad, just like many GCs have done also, despite the sound economic conditions in the south. Los Angeles has thousands of very talented actors and actresses working in restaurants until they get their big break. They do what they need to do to survive. Same goes to many university graduates who work in anything they can until they find their dream jobs while paying off their student loans back to the government. That is the reality of life anywhere in the world, but it seems that those in the north with university education cannot bring themselves to do any kind of menial work if they cannot find the job they really want. They have been turned into "primadonnas" if you ask me. That's a real shame, because it takes all kinds of jobs to build a country, and not only professionals. So, lets just say most TCs become university educated, then what.?? They will mostly leave the north, isolation or no isolation, just because the north will not support so many educated people since they do not have the structure in place to support them.

Perhaps they should push their leaders to find peace and not look for partition, which will not happen in their life time, and even if it did, without being in the EU, the north will not be any better than the economic conditions of Turkey is today. If that is the case, all these people with degrees can go to Turkey now for jobs.. Even if the direct trade was implemented, they should not expect too much change from the present situation for the north when it comes to high paying jobs. It will not happen without a solid foundation. The north's foundation is as solid as a one legged stool balancing on a point, only kept up in an upright position by the Turkish Army and nothing else. Until you accept this reality, it is no point in trying to educate you as to why the north cannot go forward to prosper as a illegal state.!

Your shopkeeper mentality does not mean jack shit. In the revolution when the workers revolt, you will be lined up against the wall and shot.

That's just the point. You will not have the TC workers, because they are being too much of "primadonnas" sitting at home with their University Degrees and not doing jobs that they feel it is beneath them and would rather live off their parents.

As I've said, it is pointless in trying to educate you. Your mind is like a glass full of water. Adding anymore water to it, will only pour out from the glass.

Kikapu this guy is from Lurucina. Trying to find logic talking with him you will end up crazy. This is how the Lurucina race survived in Cyprus. Bravo to them, at least they succeeded
