Postby CrookedRiverGuy » Sun Apr 25, 2010 2:33 pm

Any suggestions on where to find an internet café in larnaca? Preferably one where there's no problem to make use of my own laptop.

If you want to use your own laptop, just go to Finikoudes, buy yourself a coke from Hobos and use their free Wifi for customers. Same with Macdonalds in the Finikoudes.

Finikoudes is the seafront in the town centre. Where abouts are you staying and I can give you directions.

ah - I should have known that, i guess

The seafront suits me. I need to sit and work, maybe for 3-4 hours. Don't mind paying as long as there is a reliable connection. A Coke (or two Keo) for half a day, might not be up to their expectations for "half a day"?

The new Kybele Cafe on the waterfront between Finicoudes and Makenzy Beaches has wi fi too.

I've seen quite a few people sit there working with a cuppa. The owners are friendly and the prices are cheaper than Finicoudes. Places aren't very busy right now - they probably won't mind.

If you prefer to pay and not have to keep buying coffee etc, there is an Internet Cafe in the old town. Near the big Currency Xchange that looks like a castle (just behind the seafront).

State of the art and very classy (it's the one with the obligatory 2 white plastic chairs outside):

Here's a better picture of it so you can be sure to find it! Designed no doubt with those 'high end of the tourist market' visitors we hear so much about lol!
