There is speculation that Ankara wrote the letter and simply told Eroğlu to sign it. If so, there is substance in Birkibrisli's speculation that, in a Machiavellian ploy, Ankara has seen to it that Eroğlu was elected to continue the process started by Talat because not even the most died in the wool hardliner in the north would vote against a solution brokered by him. Time will tell.

Yep, in the next few months, we'll soon see who's tune Eroglu is singing. Erdogan or the Military?
Time will tell indeed.

Are you a betting man?

What? I am a good muslim and you are trying to send me to hell, although there is a lot to be said about hell. Who needs to talk to pot plants, anyway.
I shall have to fast next year for even just thinkin about it, although my fasts are of more practical nature, I tend to fast while I am asleep. I find it easier to cope with it.

Good Muslim or Linobambaki? Which is it to be?

OK. Anyhow, relax, I was just going to ask you what you thought the odds were of Eroğlu doing one or the other.

Very High.
Hell is what he is heading for to meet his best friends Decuntis, Makarinos and Tasos Babanovillos.

If you look at the banner headline in Wednesday's Afrika, currently visible at the link below, you will see that Christofias agrees with YFred's analysis.

Could YFred possibly be acting as consultant/advisor to Christofias?

No Tim, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work it out when you lived it all your life. It seems to me even Erdogan does not understand who votes for Eroglu. He got the wrong people to advise.
Golly, the forum has been stunned to silence.
Finally my ambition achieved.
