Not turning out to be your year, GCs.

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Not turning out to be your year, GCs.

First - IPC recognition.
Second - Direct trade back on the agenda.
Third - New TRNC President who loves GCs (not).
Fourth - http://www.cyprus-mail.com/cyprus/house ... y/20100423

Looks like this is turning out to be not your best year, so far.

First: The IPC recognised a commission as an institution of Turkey to resolve the property issue of the GC's.
Second: Thats being blocked again as we speak at the European Parliament level.
Third: Worst thing that could ever happen to Turkey. They've taken the makeup off and the occupation regime now talks like one. Lets see Eroglu get an invite to see Hillary
Fourth: Its called image building. When you're faced with a "black" counterparty, you make yourself seem as "white" as possible. The results are exponential.

How can you be so wrong on all your points and start a thread to show everyone how little you know?

On the contrary! This is turning out to be a great year.

After another 5 years in this situation with no change, yu will realise that we have you over the barrel. We call the shots here, because you need the RoC's signature to take a shit.

This bickering among forumers works like blinkers that blind even intelligent people like DT, for example. Most people have failed to see the significance of the election of Eroglu. DT, claimed in another post that Eroglu was elected because Talat failed to deliver solution.

In reality, the reason is basically the reverse. Eroglu won because the majority of TC's were afraid in case Talat agreed to a solution. We, the GC's know something about this because we proceeded this new thinking of the majority of TC's in 2003, when we voted for Papadopoulos, a confirmed denier of a solution other than complete dominance of the GC's.

These proves that we are not much different, dear friends. Basically we are all happy with the situation as it is and scared to death of any change to the status quo, because we are conservative to the bone.

Soon, I predict, the international community will give us what we all want and perhaps we will publicly complain for a while shedding crocodile tears but secretly thank our lucky star.

Who are you and what did you did with Bananiot? Don't think you've ever given the plantation such an optimistic ending in any of your posts before Bananiot.

Top secret. I'll tell you on Monday. I take it you agree with me on this one, perhaps you did not think of it before, but that is ok, we are not all perfect. Off to the northern part of my country now.

First: The IPC (Don't you mean ECHR?) recognised a commission (IPC) as an institution of Turkey to resolve the property issue of the GC's.
So?
Second: Thats being blocked again as we speak at the European Parliament level.
You wish!
Third: Worst thing that could ever happen to Turkey. They've taken the makeup off and the occupation regime now talks like one. Lets see Eroglu get an invite to see Hillary
You had the devil you knew, now you've just got the devil.
Fourth: Its called image building. When you're faced with a "black" counterparty, you make yourself seem as "white" as possible. The results are exponential.
So what took you so long?

We shall see who is right and who is wrong.

PS. News today - EU just about to approve second aid programme for TRNC for 2011.

1) The "IPC" thing was the only negative development, but it is counterbalanced by the Orams case which gives the ability to Cyprus courts to convict any of you in a matter of a few weeks. When the negotiations will fail soon due to your intransigence expect our courts working overtime to deal with cases in occupied Cyprus.

2) For the "direct trade" thing you should celebrate when it happens, which of course will be never.

3) Eruglue chosen as the puppet of Turkey is the worst thing that could happen to you. The negotiations were going nowhere because Turkey was uncompromising, and now with Eroglue it will be much easier for the TCs and Turkey to take the blame for their intransigence.

4) RoC has nothing against the average TC and for years is doing everything possible to help them. Don't confuse our war against Turkey and their puppet regime in Cyprus with the will of RoC to serve all its citizens as much as possible.
