Torrents - There IS a God!

Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

Never had a problem with piratebay myself. In fact, only ever found a virus once on the public torrent sites. At the end of the day, it depends on what you do with the files. Downloading is like sex. You can have it with protection or stupidly take a chance. Personally, I scan everything I download before opening it.

I got so fed up with Limewire today, I finally decided to try downloading via a BitTorrent.

Downloaded the program about half hour ago and have just finished my first download, Avatar, a 2.4GB file, in 20 MINUTES @ 964.9KBs!!!

AMAZING!!!!

Clicked on 3 different links, each one seemed to be downloading so quickly, alarm bells started ringing...so I kept stopping the download thinking it was a fake/virus like those on Limewire...third time I noticed the speed it was downloading so gave it the benefit of the doubt and let it finish....WOW! It was indeed genuine...

Truly amazed, and so p'd off that I've only just discovered this!

Sorry...just had to get that off my chest....

Yeah its great.
A friend recommended it to me about 4 years ago.
Have never looked back. :D

Just go easy on the downloads.

In one month, I downloaded a few demo games on the PS3, a few albums from the site I use (free) and streamed one or two matches and received a letter from my ISP saying that I have been downloading too much and that my speed was being capped for 3 months.

Just take it easy mate

I've had a letter like that before from my old ISP...they didn't cap my speed though...

I've been using Sky broadband for the past few years and they don't state anything about a fair usage policy on their claim for 'unlimited broadband usage', nor in their T&C's.

Never had a problem with them...I shouldn't take the piss though, you're right....don't think theres anything left for me to download anyways...

I think uTorrent has a bug...sometimes when I go to open it it just doesn't respond, says something like "uTorrent is already running"...when it blatantly ISN'T!

Can't terminate the .exe file in task manager either....AAAGH!

I'm managing quite well with the ISOHUNT site. I'm giving it a break till next month though. I've downloaded around 50GB since my OP! :? I keep telling myself "this is the last thing I'm downloading" then I find something else I want...another album, another film... :?
