A considerable statement, can you please define "punished" and in a few bullet points how the TC's "solution" will be worse for GCs than in 1960 - obviously we're not looking at creating the Pir-acik plan.
1) You want many of the GCs to give up their homeland so you can have a majority of TCs/Turks in the north part of Cyprus.
2) Instead of having equal citizens you want to divide power on community level. This is one of the faults of the 1960s constitution as well, but you now want this power sharing to change even more in your favor.
PS. regarding the outher aspect of "We are all a minority in some ways and what matters in modern democratic states is the equality among the citizens" the desire for one man one vote really can be evaluated by taking the issues that would come up if for example the RoC became a part of the UK and apply the one man one vote rules. The answer we already know is that GCs would not desire this outcome, therefore what is fair for you must be the same for us. Moving from an equal rights position to a miniroty is not workable - the experiences of the past and present hold all the reasons for that.
When we gained independence from the UK did we ask for London to be part of our independent Republic because a minority of Cypriots was living there?
I have no problem if you want to be independent, but your independent country can not include territories where we are the majority and obviously you can't ethnically cleanse us in order to make yourselves the majority by force either.
When you first came to Cyprus you knew that you would be a minority among Greeks. We didn't force you to become such a minority. So it is time to start showing some respect to the majority of the population of this island and stop trying to steal our lands in order to create your independent country on land which belongs by over 80% to GCs.
As I said we all belong to a minority in one or more ways, and this is not a problem in modern democratic countries which respect human rights and the rights of individual citizens. Your example with the UK has nothing to do with our case, since we are a native people of these lands, not foreign Colonialists as the British where in Cyprus.
History brought GCs, TCs and all the other communities of Cyprus living
mixed on this island and you should finally accept that the whole Cyprus belongs to all of us as Cypriot people and that there is no good way to divide land and population without employing criminal and racist methods which can only lead to hate, wars, conflicts and suffering.
