Can you explain why that is a "balanced" view?

It blames no-one ,but everyone,it looks forwards not backwards.

what rubbish! How has Cyprus played a destructive role in the EU? If someone wants to join a club then the first step is to recognise the members of that club.

And if France and Germany are against the Turkish membership and are usin Cyprus, then how is Cyprus destructive to the EU when it is doing exactly what the 2 most powerful EU nations want it to do?

Please take the trouble, since you posted this article (which I chose to ignore) how and why it is worthy of being labeled (in your words) "balanced".

Some detail is required other than throwaway soundbites ...

Which specifically are the "balanced" arguments?

more like the one not many have heard of.. when i tell a lot of americans cyprus they say ohh greece i love it here.. and i say no cyprus and they dont realise they are two different places
