So Svetlana - you think SPRAY was a typo for SPRY?

It didn't occur to me as I have used the sprays for some time. The butter one is especially handy for making the toasties where you have to butter the outside of the sarnies - a very messy job with 'real' butter.

Please Gasperson, NO cooking advice - it is totally wasted on me.

However, Oracle would value you your opinion on lemon cakes ;-)

lol! She wouldn't if she knew me - my total lack of interest in the shopping for, preparation and cooking of food is well known to those that do.

I'd hardly call a toasted sarnie 'cooking' - if I want to eat well - I eat OUT!

It was once suggested that I could write a cookbook - '1000 ways with carbon'.

My kids have taken photos of some of my more spectacular disasters back in the days when I could still be bothered to try. And they once took the sausages that burned while I was ignoring them and nailed them all together to make a little donkey with moving parts!

SPRY =

whipped hydrogenated vegetable oil.

Discontinued. I couldn't find any 'oily' version of it.

I think they did mean SPRAY.

Yeah Svetlana ... but ... that is NOT oil!

Did the original poster ever return to the thread?

I'm learning cooking related stuff I didn't really want to know!
