Denktash has no great record as a negotiator, he did not accomplish much in the past, so the idea that he would intimidate Christofias is a little baffling.

Christofias brings his acceptance of political equality and BBF to the table, what is the other "team" bringing?

Considering that the negotiations have gone some way, and a few headings are left, what can change from now on?

Muhtar X's position is not that different to Tapa's position, so as TPapa wanted Dengtash at the negotiations last time, I think it is only proper in his honour that he should be allowed to join the negotiations, not.

This is almost surreal when you compare it to how things were just a week ago...
This is the surrealist party. Next time vote for the Turkish Cypriot cubists or expressionist parties.

They have now located Papadopoulos' corpse. Maybe they can re animate the corpse frankenstein style to deal with Denktash2(squared).

No need. Muhtar X is doing a damn good impression of him already.

All of these guys are war criminals, TMT members, butchered their own TC people during the EOKA struggle for freedom... Eroglu's first mistake... a big one... Erdogan should step in & dismantle this team (if he still wants a solution by the end of the year).

To my fellow TCs... you voted for the wrong guy! I see another 36 years of limbo coming up.

Georgios100

I am very curious, how many TCs were 'butchered' exactly?

Most of the TCs who were butchered were by the eoka with the exception of 3 that were done by TMT. Is there any more?

Three? - well I can name four off the top of my head:

Fazıl Önder
Derviş Ali Kavazoğlu
Ahmet Muzaffer Gürkan
Ayhan Hikmet

Thanks Tim.

Thats one more to my list wit F.Ö.

Compare that to the butchery of the G-upon-G Georgios100.

No problem. Four is four too many.

But of course. Yet Georgios100 statement is made worthless; because his own sides 'butchers are in (were) powerful positions too.

I don't really think it is his statements that are worthless?

You guys are blind... of course there was "butchering" from both sides, all of us agree on that... but why argue with numbers, when a murderer is convicted for life term in jail, regardless if his victim(s) was one or more! A murderer is a murderer, period.

Here you are playing with numbers (human lives)... there is no doubt, Eroglu & his team participated in these murders but because they killed less than the GCs... does that makes them less guilty???

My statement's worth is equal to the lives lost when Eroglu & his clan were rampaging the TC enclaves, enforcing their will with unspeakable tactics hiding under the banner of TMT!

Is there any one on CF that denies that?

And you, Paphitis, stay out of this thread... we don't need Hillbilly useless comments from you... go back to Paphos & hide under a stone... as you did in 1974... while others were putting their lives at stake... smuck.

George, where I lived, TMT did not kill anybody, all they did was spent all the hours god sent sitting up on hill tops stopping eoka attacking the village. We still lost 3 innocent lives, all on the greek side.
But the real issue here is you do not understand the mechanics of power in Cyprus. To this day it does not matter who is in government. The real power is with the eoka and tmt people. Once you get such power it is very dificult to remove it. The have been able to use their organisations to be wealthy and wealth is power.
It is like cancer, you cannot defeat it, you just learn to live with it by containing it.
