Sadly unsurprising.
Pity how they make international headlines with things like this.
Gus G probably being the biggest POSITIVE export in the last 5 years.

Psorokalamaraes mate. What do you expect? I was thinking of buying some good value property in Greece . There are some almost positively geared commercial buildings going for crazy prices!

Why do they call you Turkish Palio? I've met Greeks who say they can't abide Cypriots! Called them 'gypsies' and 'arabs with shoes on'. Seems to me that the enduring love of Greeks and all things Greek shown by some GCs is not equally reciprocated by the Greeks towards Cypriots. Check out Greek discussion forums to see this.

Yes, very, very serious trouble and looks like getting worse and not just for Greece ... hear that Portugal will be next on the need to support list.

Really does beg the question where was the proper scrutiny of the unsustainable borrowing positions of these people don't have to pat taxes countries?

Where was the ECB, who presumably oversee these things???

Because the issues were endemic to Greece way before he even took office.

He is responsible for not doing anything to solve the issue of tax evasion, and could be argued to have contributed extensively. No one can deny.

If that’s the general consensus of the average Greek citizen, then anyone coming to power there would have to be very daft not to misappropriate funds into their bank account!

The existence of people like you Paphitis; that is those people who naively and foolishly remove all responsibility from those that take positions of power, encourage corruption and make such calamities possible!
