WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN 2004 AND 2010 ???

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby Nikitas » Thu Apr 22, 2010 3:00 pm

IT is commonly accepted in Greece that the Greek army did not write its best history in the Asia Minor campaign. This much has been stated by academics and historians in books and the media.

Any side that sees the events of this campaign as a source of pride needs to sit down with a good therapist. The events in Smyrni after the take over by the Turkish army reported by a the French military attache are a harrowing account. They should be put in school books and see what effect they will have. As would be the actions of the Greek army towards civilians in their eastward advance.

Forget the history books of each sides' ministry of education. Read some cables of third party diplomats and military officers and the picture is not at all flattering to either side.

Thank you Nikitas. Bafidobullo was under the impression that the Greeks were angels.

I was referring to Smyrna in 1922 and not the Greek Army!

Why did you sack and burn the entire city and send thousands of Greek civilians to their death?

Fred did that? I knew he was a bit naughty, but that comes as something of a surprise.

It goes rather well with the rest of the things that our patriots are making up about me. Don't you think? Perhaps I was also responsible for the killings in Nicosia in 1570/71

You as in the Turkish Army.

The Y-Fred clan killed Greek Cypriots in the 1960s as part of the TMT. This he confessed a while ago! Very naughty indeed!

Another TC that preaches empty words of empathy use to hide weapons in his mattress. These weapons were not used for hunting Ampellopoulia!

You are confusing me with my younger brother Lala Mustafa Pasha. We were in Magusa.

On a more serious note one of my brothers found out that Lurucina was set up by some of the Latins who were allowed to leave Magusa after it fell.
I remember it well.

What does a linobambaki from Lourojina have to do with the forces resisting the invasion of Anatolia in 1920-1923?

That is assuming that he will appear in the lawyers office and repeat what he has been saying.

PS For the benefit of the intellectually challenged, I was previously making precisely the same point as in the above post using irony.

PPS It is pretty stupid to level accusations of murder against anybody based on the flimsiest of hearsay evidence.

PPPS In 1922, there existed no entity that could possibly be referred to as the 'Turkish army'.
