New President of TRNC is Dr.Dervish EROGLU

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Nikitas wrote:My take, and this is a personal impression, not a scientifically derived conclusion, is that all Cypriots are so sick and tired of the whole situation that any solution presented will get majorities in referenda on both sides.

The post settlement situation should be interesting, in some ways the most interesting phase of Cyprus history, when our leaders, deprived of a crisis, will have to behave as the leaders of two small communities in one very small place. That should be fun to watch.

Can't wait,Nikitas! 8) 8)

Back to Eroglu and the talks- the following is from Politis paper correspondent in Istanbul:

"The director of Kibris, Resat Akar, mentioned that Eroglu must leave aside his pre election statements. "You cannot solve the Cyprus issue without concessions" Akar said, adding that Eroglu must continue the talks according to the wishes of Ankara. Akar said that any change at this stage would not benefit the TCs, Eroglu or Ankara. A similar view was expressed by public research company KADEM chief, Muharem Faiz who said that the negotiations are carried out in collaboration with a team from Ankara. Eroglu might have his objections but he cannot deviate from the positions taken by Talat in the talks."

So it looks like the talks go on and the schedule is for a conclusion by the end of this year.

So this just confirms what we have been saying all long, doesn't matter who is the leader, Turkey still rules. perhaps the TCs will listen to their own.

All we seem to get from people like Bir, Bananiot, YFred, VP is threats that we have blown it and we had better watch out because we are in for a kicking.

Nikita, there is no time frame, don't be putting that idea into their heads otherwise they will hold us to it. We will not be pressurised like they tried to do to us in Burgenstock (sp?), at least Tpap, saw it coming and stuffed them first.

We will agree a SOLUTION when one is agreed and not before, however long it takes. We have right and justice on our side.

My sympathies with the TCs has long gone when they tried to use the settlers against us, only to find, it is them that have now been shafted. They have well and truly shat on their own doorstep now, they can clean it up.

Having said all of that, I do take off my hat to the TCs on this forum, for all sticking together, unlike some of the wanker GCs who would bury their own over the TCs. Bravo TCs, this is another reason why the GCs have been fucked to date, we are such an animal unfortunately. I am ashamed even to say these things.

Bravo reh Bastardo25. You have all the time in the world. No need to hurry, wait till Erdogan is replaced with a hardliner and they will give you the deal you have been crying for. They will hand over the TCs on a plate for your mincing machines. And Pigs will fly.

We better start a pig farm in the north just in case.

Not only the politicians, but also all the hangers on who have become armchair experts on the Cyprus problem and get free trips to New York, Geneva, Vienna, Brussels etc. Athens and Istanbul are reserved for the lower ranks.

Perhaps in the future a new class will emerge as leaders, technocrats who know about conserving water resources and the latest farming techniques and how to develop tourism without resorting to this scandal we call "development".

I am a dreamer!

These are your characteristics. After all you have done to my country, you are expecting an apology from me/us and the gifting of 1/2 my country to a bunch of barbarians. Who is the arrogant one here? You display such stupidity that you think we are so soft that we are going to gift this country to you hand over foot.

You are the first class arsehole Bir, stop trying to play the saint here, as I said we have right and justice on our side. The UN, the EU and the International community says so.

What the future brings we will deal with it in due course, your threats are all empty. I fear not.

You got the leader you deserve, don't be blame me or the GCs on your own fuckups.
