Where is the victory party being held tonight?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Agreed, Eroglu will not see recognition but his promises are no more at risk of failing than Talat's.
You cannot deny Christofias gave Talat a long piece of rope with which to hang himself. Not an iota of support when Talat most needed it.

By the way Palio, when can I collect the $100 for the TC teachers not being banned from teaching Greek.

Ridiculous. Quit blaming these results on the Greek Cypriots. Grow up already. Why not put the blame on Turkey for once. Damn it, a large portion of the population in northern Cyprus consists of Turks from Turkey who i am pretty sure voted overwhelmingly for Eroglu. Right?

Next thing you know you will be blaming us for the plume of ash heading your way.

Erdogan went on TV on Saturday and literally ORDERED the north to vote for Talat. He warned them about Eroglu as well...

I really don't think Turkey wanted Eroglu to win.

Palio, Erdogan really does not need Eroglu in power, it screws his bigger picture agendas. I understand it is impossible to convince a GC that the Turkish PM would want a settlement over partition, but you chat to any man on the street exposed to the electioneering in north to get who Turkey would have rather had in place.

Hey Palio, as evidence all I can point to is the lack of evidence of any change in laws to stop the teaching of Greek in the north. I am certain that if there was a change to the laws it would have been published. I'll leave it at your discretion if you want to pay the $100, no biggie either way.

Thats EXACTLY what Erdogan did on Saturday when he went on TV. I kid you not...he said if they voted for Eroglu there could be complications in their financial assistance to the north.

But that can't be. They were put there so Turkey can control TRNC and then the whole of Cyprus. You can't be right, the all knowing all crapping the one and only Kickapoo said so.
I am beginning to sense a conspiracy here to discredit my friend.
