I hate conflict amongst indigenous Cypriots . I consider those T/Cs , the majority , who are Cypriots first and foremost to be my compatriots , brothers and sisters . I tell those that reject Cyprus in preference for a foreign motherland to hop it , back to their motherlands . I 'm , I was , I shall remain a Cypriot ( in the words my late father in the late 30s who said to the English judge who was about to sentence him for being a communist but instructed him to disown communism for a lenient sentence. )
The old man was stubborn , three years in prison but there again how many Cypriots had the privilege of sharing a cell with Tefkros Anthias , our most prominent poet.
