If only more Cypriots felt as you do.
There is plenty. 65% had a free vote in the north and 35% voted in the south despite intemedation of every kind for peace. Just think what the result would have been if it was a fair vote in the south too.
There is plenty just not very vocal.
What would have happened had the TC's had the balls to say to no to Turkey inserting a last minute wish list that was sure to be rejected by the GC's.
You managed to accomodate every whim the Turkish state had in Cyprus, of which none were of any benefit to TC's or GC's. And then you complain that it got turned down by us. Again and again it will be turned down until you come to your senses and stop trying to step over the GC's at every opportunity.
Please explain to us why UN, Greece and EU approved it? and Why did the EU representative wanted to get on TV and talk to the GCs? What was it he upset about?
Was not the last minute points put in by UN? was that not the agreement between the parties that anything not agreed would be decided by the UN? You are still in denial. TPapa never had any intention of negotiating and He was glad they were put in. One of these days when you may wake up from your deep slumber.
As to the Turkish interest, there is nothing anybody can do about it. The Turks feel it was theirs and was stolen from them and they will defend their intests. Strange enough they have the power to do it. If UK can claim the Malvinas, you blame Turkey for claiming interests in Cyprus? You are out of your mind?
Turkey can attempt to claim anything she likes. Its the idiots in Cyprus that are helping her that I have a problem with.
Then you have one hell of a problem.
You can forget peace or unification and as a present have a million turkallos next door for free. Enjoy.
Thats your choice, seeing as your tc brothers are the first to be affected by this bogeyman you're trying to sell, why don't you re-direct your statement to them?
Unfortunately the immediate problem is you and not Turkey. Sign the peace agreement and then we can turn our attention on to the next one.
You really ought to know better.
Turkish bazarliki.
I prefer to go by the established legalities of this situation. Namely that yprus is an EU member state with territory under occupation by a foreign army.
You'll need to forget about legalised Turkish interests on this island.
