The thing I don't understand is how a chain of frozen food shops can cause travel chaos!

Have a prawn curry made from a broken down freezer, and you will find out.

I really like this way of seeing the world.

Finally there is someone who appreciates and understands!?
In Italy there is a very dangerous volcano, called Mount Vesuvius.
If this were to wake up then surely we should all say goodbye to Naples and the surrounding areas ...
Unfortunately the whole area around Mount Vesuvius is densely populated and continue to build despite this is forbidden.
The Neapolitans are indeed a very religious people and believe strongly that you just pray ... Saint Gennaro

Our Civil Service ( cannot translate well, sorry ) has prepared a plan for evacuation in case of danger, but I fear that very few Neapolitan leave their homes.

U dont need Mount Vesuvius to experience Pomepeii catastrophe again, as long as Berlusconi rules

Almost clear blue skies over southeast uk. A weird sort of haze in the sky. Is it the 'Icelandic ash' or am I getting cataracts. To add to this is the quiteness. They say the 'silence is deafening' how true. I live beneath the flight path to Heathrow and the City Airports. I hope I dont get used to this 'peaceful moment'; I will dread the resumation of the flights.

Half my colleagues are stranded in the Carribean, Lanzarote Japan. Am I looking forward to return to work after my last ever Easter break? NO way.

No flights till tomorrow 1.00 pm minimum. Different radio channels give differing news.

Taxi fares to Paris, £800. Addison Lee to Europe £3-4 K. Good for business. Cab hire firms have ordered in large consignments of EU navigational aids.

Oh well; life must go on.

That's what you get when you're living on the wrong side of the globe.

Hey, the earth just moved for us!

... gotta put up with a little smoke, and ash, afterwards.
