The Old Testament tells stories of (Christian) God's Prophets. The Hebrew Bible ends with the Book of Chronicles, while the Christian Old Testament ends with the Book of Malachi which is a prophecy of the coming of the Messiah (Christ).
Now I told you before not to cut Sunday School to going riding on your bike....
Jesus(Peace be upon him) himself said that I have not come to destroy the law but to fullfill them, meaning he came to this world to carry on the purpose of the Prohphets(Peace be upon them) came before him and he prophisized about the Last and final prophet to come after he will leave from the world which was no other but Prophet Muhammad(Peace be upon him) and the Quran is the last and final Testament from almighty God.
It is clear from the below verse from new Testament that the Old Testament was still valid even after He came in the world to carry on the mission of Prophets given by almighty God. A true Christian must follow the last and final Prophet and the last and final Testament.
Don't misunderstand why I have come. I did not come to abolish the law of Moses or the writings of the prophets. No, I came to accomplish their purpose. Matthew 5:17
