3,000 TCs on the side of Trabzonspor!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

CONGRATULATIONS ANORTHOSIS!

You made all of us realy proud last night! :D

I was at the stadium and all fans' behavior was as expected, excellent.
Apart from a turkish jurnalist who made indecent gestures to the Gcs after the Trab. scorred. He was seen by Gcs fans and for a moment I thought "Oh! here we go" but other calmer fans arranged to calm the angry Gcs down. This turkish jurnalist left the stadium after the 2nd goal of ANO.

So G.Cs did no indecent gestures? I just saw many enosis flags.

I just wondered why werent there many "RoC" flags instead there were plenty of Greek flags??? is this team from Greece???

And does the Enosis flags reflect that GCs on this forum are lying about the Enosis idea being dead and buried and why were such flags allowed, would Taksim flags or TRNC flags been welcomed as well??? or were they convescated??

Greek or RoC flags cannot of course be regarded as "indecent". BUT having the map of cyprus in the middle of the flag of Hellenic Republic is way indecent my friend. Don't you agree?

Did anyone else think Yattara sending off was unfair, i saw the replays and i could not see him touching that guy at all, the guy fell to the ground twice and gave Yattara two yellow cards.

I wouldn't say it was unfair, but rather that the guy was a bit unlucky to be caught twice expressing his last night’s bad temper! In the first case he was punished for his clear attempt to hit the Anorthosis player irrespective of whether he had actually hit him or not. It is for this reason that the Anorthosis player was also punished with a yellow card for acting like been hit. In the second case, he made a foul but he was not punished for that but rather for acting angrily after the whistle and for kicking the ball away.

If you get the chance and visit other football matches in the south, you will see all kinds of flags waved by “fans.” Nazi flags, Greek flags, Cuban flags, scull and bones flags, British flags, Soviet Union flags, US flags, China flags, etc, etc. The whole issue with flags in stadiums is so banal and kitsch that it doesn't even worth talking about it. After all, being a football " disciple" of one team is not one of the trades that would characterize the most intelligent people on earth! I can assure you during the second game in Turkey there will be plenty of "TRNC" and "Taxim" flags as well, like we have seen it so many times in TV.

A Greek speaking TC friend, who is a refugee from Limassol now living in Kyrenia, was at the match sitting with four TC friends in the Famagusta section of the ground and supporting Anorthosis. He said that today he is depressed at the racism he saw and heard directed at Turks and says that this has made up his mind that the two peoples are not ready to live side by side.

He also told me that TC taxi drivers have been intimidated at Larnaca Airport by their GC counterparts for taking people to the north - any one know any more on this? Apparently the police have intervened a couple of times to protect the TC drivers.
