Turks suffer in this life but will surely go to heaven

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Turks suffer in this life but will surely go to heaven

Turks suffer in this life but will surely go to heaven here after!

Why?

Because there is probably no other nation in the world investing as much as Turkey into religion.

I will put up the irony of numbers how screwed everything is in Turkey:

- Turkey has 67,000 schools, 1220 hospitals but also 85,0000 mosques (we invest more to the hereafter)

- Turkey has 77,000 doctors but 90,000 clergies (we invest more in our spiritual hereafter than our health)

- Turkey has 1 opera foundation, 11 balet foundations, 18 cinema foundation, 38 theatre foundation but 35,000 foundation for constructing mosques (we invest more in the hereafter than in our culture)

Let's compare the budgets of state institutions:
- ministry of internal affairs: 783mln
- ministry of transportation: 678mln
- ministry of labour: 677mln
- ministry of culture and tourism: 632mln
- ministry of trade and industry: 280mln
- ministry of energy: 249mln
- ministry of nature and forestry: 404mln
and

- ministry of religious affairs: 1,3 bln!!!! (apparantly the hereafter is more important to us)

Note! these figures where from 2006. Budget of the ministry of religious affairs doubled in 2007 to 2,7bln!!!!
I don't know what it is in 2010 but definitely more than in 2007.

Tragedy of Turkey is that we could skyrocket our industry, our society, our education level just by scrapping the budget for religious affairs........

Reality though is we spend every year more and more, god bless our souls

the above was posted in another forum, and i have no reason to dispute it...

the question is, how much of that applies to the tcs in north cyprus and what are the consequences in the long term as we constantly reminded by the vp likes that the tcs are going back to their roots...

or

better still with AKP in power how long before the tcs, with the swamping of settlers can hold out?

and befroe i get attacked from the bananiots of this world, i do not know what the churches are doing in the south, maybe someone could enlighten us...

Oh, we're building like the second coming of Christ is sometime next week, taliban-style. See you have to spend spend spend and we already fixed all the problems, like the poor, orphans, addicts and disabled, so we might as well build more churches. Just in case we all change our minds and start going back to church in mass.

Our churches are build by the Church of Cyprus and by those who donate. Not by the taxpayers!!

Hm. Sort of. Our churches are built by donations while the church sits on all its businesses and refuses to pay tax to the level of anyone else. Meanwhile, the government pays priests their wages. But lif you want to be penickety, donations build the churches.

If the Church isn't paying taxes then the churches are being built (subsidised) by the taxpayers - QED.
