PanARMENIAN.Net - Within the framework of a movement called Big Program 2006 sponsored by a number of Turkish figures, including Dogu Perincek, Vural Savas and former President of unrecognized Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Rauf Denktash, Talaat Pasha Action is planned in Berlin March 18. Messages and slogans disseminated on the occasion caused Germans' indignation, who reported it via their Ambassador to Turkey, reported the Vatan Istanbul newspaper. According to the source, a sentence in the text of the invitations outraged Germans: «If they do not want western capitals to be in fire, as Paris was lately, let them stop ungrounded and impudent attitude towards Turkey.» When addressing the MFA on the occasion German Ambassador in Ankara Wolf Ruthart Born regretted over that wording. The threatening nature of those statements is unacceptable for German authorities, he said. «The approach does not promote Turkey-Germany relations,» he remarked. The action aims at making the German Parliament cancel the Armenian Genocide Resolution adopted earlier. The action is expected to start in Berlin with a large rally. Action Consultation Council Chair Rauf Denktash laid a wreath to the place, where Soghomon Teyleryan killed Talaat Pasha. Talaat Pasha conference will be held in Berlin March 19. Its organizers state they will show Turkey's power to the West through that action and Europe should stop its unfair attitude towards Turkey. The newspaper writes some one thousand people are selected in Turkey to be sent to Berlin to take part in the rally.

The internet has been a huge eye-opener for me. I was surprised to find that TCs, on the whole, are not understanding or sympathetic towards the Ottoman Armenians. And just like Denktash, some of them are firmly on the side of Genociders.

According to illegal Bayrak radio (11:30 hours, 20.1.98 ), Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash claimed that a positive stage had been reached on the policies for a solution based on "two states", and that better stages can be achieved by furthering the relations with Turkey. Denktash hosted a dinner in honour of Turkish foreign ambassadors, who are continuing their contacts in the occupied area.
Addressing the dinner, Denktash said that cooperation with Turkey could advance Turkish policies on the Cyprus issue.

Denktash–head of the breakaway northern Turkish Cypriot state recognized only by Ankara–is on record as threatening to pull out of the negotiations if the European Union goes ahead with a plan to start entry talks for Cyprus early next year.

As 'a whole' what you say about the TC's/T's is correct. This is mainly due to ignorance and white washing of past misdemeanors. It is only in the past few years that the truth and the whole truth is coming out. Outside Cyprus more and more information is becoming available. From what I can see is the world is Turning against Turkey and the Turkish world and we have a situation of a 'trapped animal'. The truth is out there now, let us have the 'whole' truth. More and more Turkish scholars are bringing to light these dreadful killings.
On the other hand before 1963 the Armenians and the Turkish Cypriots lived together as good neighbours and friends. They worked together and lived in harmony. What happened to the Cypriot Armenians in 1963 was terrible and unjustified. Those evildoers should be identified and punished.
